Waffen-SS Painted Steel Koppelschloß (Buckle)
This steel buckle has a matte silver finish. There is some wear along
the lower edge and some high points (swastika and motto, high points on the
eagle, etc.). There is a light film of oxidation where the steel is exposed.
The reverse has more of the finish, though little remains along the lip edge.
There is again some oxidation. The belt hook catch is the long “U” type bar,
with flanged, flat feet. Decent, representative example of a nicely worn steel
buckle.
