B-102 Late Production SS Enlisted Man's Painted Stamped Steel Buckle
This buckle has many interesting characteristics! First off, the condition is
sound overall, with 90% of its silver “radiator” finish intact. It is a very
crisp strike with minor wear. It has both an RZM stamp and SS runes on the
reverse, both having double rings. Stamped between these are the
manufacturer’s code (155 for the firm of F.W. Assmann & Söhne) and the
date (43 for the year 1943). This is all stamped beneath the roll bar. The
belt catch has a round bar with flat feet welded to the buckle. The upper foot
is much smaller than the lower foot (see pictures). A sound example with some
neat features!
