B-112a  NSDAP Jungend Buckle with Brass Roundel
This is a miniature buckle that measures 2.25” long by 1.5” wide (5.7cm x 3.8cm). What is even more interesting about this example is its configuration is the exact opposite of what is expected ~ i.e. the roll bar and prongs are on the opposite site, maybe for a left-handed user? Made of polished brass (moderately dulled with minor scratches in the finish), it is a two-piece example that is one of the many variant styles of the Jugend buckle used before the RZM oversaw production. The separate roundel is brass finished and retains excellent detail with minor toning. The eagle's wings are just slightly upswept and his head sits below the two ropes. The reverse features a belt catch in hollowed out "U" style. The plated roll bar is made of brass. An excellent example of an interesting buckle!
