B-112b SA Zweidornschnalle (Two-Prong Buckle),
with RZM Tag
Nice buckle, though the majority of the original matte gilt finish
has faded leaving only a ghost of gold behind. The buckle’s rectangular frame
is lightly pebbled. The central bar with its two prongs (hence the name Zweidorn…”two
prong”…) seems frozen. The buckle has a white paper RZM tag, folded over one
side of the buckle frame and stapled in the middle. The top side of the slightly
age browned tag gives the nomenclature: “Zweidornschnalle nach Vorschrift der
Reichszeugmeisterei der NSDAP” (“Two-Prong Buckle in accord with regulations
of the NSDAP RZM”). The RZM mark appears on the backside of the buckle frame,
with the code M 5 /71 – and beside this, the OLC diamond logo! Very cool! The
tag is printed in black ink. Super display example.
