B-113 Miniature SA Buckle, Marked
A really neat buckle that is only one third the standard buckle size
(it’s just over 2”), but otherwise exactly the same configuration as its
larger cousin. The brass buckle metal has taken on a light patina; the silver
finish on the roundel remains quite bright - a real sharp contrast! There is an
interesting maker’s mark on the center of the reverse - a distinctive little
shield-like emblem and with the initials “L.F.” (Linden & Funke G.m.b.H.,
of Iserlohn). The belt hook catch is the half-domed type. The buckle reverse is
flat (not stamped), as the roundel was separately applied (soldered onto the
buckle face). Neat piece!
