Aluminum Buckle with Leather Tab
This example retains 60% of its originally applied field grey finish.
The finish on the reverse is nearly fully intact. These were for use by
“combat” personnel of the Reichsarbeitsdients. There is just minor wear to
the details. The reverse has the slotted ramp style catch, along with an
aluminum roll bar and prongs. It is maker marked B & N (For Berg & Nolte
of Ludenscheid) and dated “38” at the catch end. The maker information and
date are repeated on the brown leather tab, which remains soft and supple. A
near excellent example!
