B-136 Unissued Late-War Hitler Jugend Koppelschloß (Buckle) in Zinc

Very impressive Hitler Youth buckle in zinc alloy base
metal. The original matte aluminum wash finish is mostly gone – though a trace
remains for a hint of silver. The stamped roundel with motto, HJ eagle and
diamond insignia is outstanding – still quite crisp. The reverse is also mint
and clean. It has the molded-in form of belt hook catch bar that is an integral
part of the buckle. The buckle reverse is marked along the edge lip with a RZM
mark and the makers code M4 / 27. The roller bar ( with prongs) moves freely. The
bar has a matte silver finish. Affixed to it is a looped original RZM card paper
tag, marked in red ink with the HJ diamond “Koppelschloß nach Vorschrift der
RJF” (RJF = Reichsjugendführer – Reichs Youth Leader). The manufacturer
code on the tag matches the buckle. The tag is in superb condition. A fine
addition to any collection!
