B-137 Early Hitler Jugend Koppelschloss [Belt
Buckle], Nickel/Silver Finish
A great buckle with the nickel/silver plated finish in outstanding
condition – the gleam is still very impressive with only minimal dulling to
the lower right corner, and a few very insignificant scratches. The reverse is
in equally fine shape, though not shiny. It has the short, squared “U”-type
belt hook catch with the post ends welded directly to the buckle surface (no
flanged feet). The buckle reverse is marked near the lip (i.e. left side as
viewed) with a RZM mark and a circled maker code M/4/27 (this being the
firm of Overhof & Cie). Quite a sharp-looking nickel “Ha-Jut” (German
method of pronouncing “HJ”) buckle!
