B-137a Late-War Hitler Jugend Koppelschloß
(Buckle), Polished
This buckle, though with a very impressive polished finish, shows the
hallmarks of late-war cast production in its very flat surfaced reverse with no
visible sign of the roundel (which you would find on an earlier, die stamped
buckle – or the mounting tabs found on the separately applied roundel type).
It has the integral, molded belt hook catch. The obverse has pretty crisp detail
and a super polish, with only some superficial scratches. The unpolished reverse
is totally clean and is marked along the edge lip with an RZM mark and the
makers code “M4 / 38”. Very nice example!
