B-140 Hitler Jugend Koppelschloss [Belt Buckle] in
Steel
Smooth surfaced steel buckle with a nice, crisp insignia stamped into
the metal. The buckle finish is a matte frost aluminum, which is missing off
some of the higher relief areas, particularly the Hitler Youth diamond. Where
the finish is missing, the steel has toned deeply dark. There are numerous nicks
to the finish here and there around the surface. The buckle reverse is in quite
nice shape with no soiling and nearly all the matte aluminum finish. It
has the long, squared “U” type belt hook catch with flattened, flanged ends
on the mounting posts. An unusual and interesting aspect is that the two-pronged
roller bar is without any covering sleeve with no sign there ever was one. Very
good overall example.
