B-143a Army DAK Enlisted Man’s Painted Steel
Buckle with Leather Tab
This pressed steel example retains an impressive 85% of its textbook
olive green finish. There is only minor wear to the highlights. The catch is the
inverted “U” style with flat feet and the roll bar is steel. A very nice
brown leather tab is included. The earlier (1940-41) production DAK buckles had
the leather tab, followed in later years by a canvas version. An above average
example overall!
