Buckle] Pebbled Aluminum
Nice, early manufacture Army buckle in very good
excellent shape. There is a somewhat galvanized-looking appearance of the
aluminum. It is the two-piece construction, with the roundel separately
applied to the buckle face. There is a small dent in the outer ring of the
roundel at about the 8 o’clock position, not especially distracting. The
reverse has the half-dome style catch (the metal is pushed out to form a half
dome shape, with the open, straight edge serving as the catch). The edge shows a
considerable amount of wear and a bit of flattening to the top of the arched
shape. Pretty representative buckle for this type and fairly priced.
