B-176 WWI Army Painted Steel Combat Buckle with
Brown Leather Tab
This is produced in a pressed steel with a green combat finish that
remains 85% intact. There is only minor wear and slight discoloration. The
reverse features a round “U” shaped bar with flat, flanged feet welded to
the buckle for a belt catch. The roll bar and prongs are steel. The brown
leather tab is clean as a whistle and remains soft and supple. There is a
manufacturer’s name on the tab, this indicates it was produced by Hans Deutter
of Ausfberg. The tab is dated 1918. Above average condition!
