C-004 Set of Army Field Grey
Cloth Shoulder Board Slides for F 82 Pionier Regiment
A super set of slip-on board loops in nice quality field grey
wool. These were slipped over the shoulder boards, and worn to identify the
soldier’s regiment and branch – and could just as easily be removed when
needed for information security purposes (i.e. when on patrol in enemy
territory, etc.). Each slip has a vertical axis width of just about 1.25”, and
they are wide enough to fit around a shoulder board. Chain stitch embroidered in
black thread (for Pionier branch) across the face of the slip (horizontal), is
the identification “F 82”. The “F” appears to have indicated assignment
to a Fortress of some sort, within the engineer contingent. The slips are in
excellent condition!
