C-012 Set
of Early Slip-On Army Shoulder Boards for a Hauptfeldwebel, Sanitätsdienst

A really fine pair of boards, faced in the earlier period dark
blue/green badge cloth, and with full NCO tress in shiny (rather than matte)
aluminum. Each board has two nicely toned silver pips – they look like pewter,
very handsome! With the full tress, this would identify the senior rank of
Hauptfeldwebel / Oberfeldwebel. The boards are piped in the dark cornflower blue
Waffenfarbe (branch color) of Medical personnel. There is some light tracking to
the dark field grey wool of the tongues and a nearly unnoticeable nip or two to
the dark blue piping; there is also a slight bit of abrasion wear in the shape
of the shoulder board buttons, but overall this is a truly outstanding set, and
a scarce branch color!
