C-323a Kriegsmarine Sleeve Insignia for Radio
Operator
This example is a combination of rank chevron and career insignia. It
indicates that the owner was a Matrose with a career as a radio operator. The
single “V” chevron is produced in a gold tresse, while the lightning bolt
(facing left) is machine embroidered in gold cloth. This is over a navy blue
wool, which has some wear and a few minor bites. A sound example!
