C-721 Extremely Rare Machine Woven (BeVo) Waffen-SS
Enlisted Man’s Cufftitle for the 5.SS Panzer Division “Wiking”
The 5.SS Panzer Division “Wiking” was formed by combining the
combat forces of the regiments “Germania”, Westland” and Nordland”.
Members of the Division that were not formerly members of any of the three were
authorized to wear the “Wiking” cufftitle. This 17” (43.2cm) long
cufftitle is machine woven (BeVo) in pale grey thread with one grey border
stripe along the top and bottom. The letters are very clear. The band material
is quite thin and as usual with BeVo weaving, the title lettering is totally
flat. The reverse of the band has the correct salt and pepper pattern (clearly a
BeVo Wuppertal weave), with the Division name as a negative image (black). Each
end of the band has fraying to the edges. The cufftitle has minor discoloration
and signs of light wear. Excellent and desirable!
