C-727a “Florian Geyer”
8.SS-Kavallerie-Division (8th SS Cavalry Division) Cufftitle, BeVo-like Weave
Enlisted Man’s machine woven – BeVo version of the “Florian
Geyer” cufftitle (introduced on March 17th, 1944) with the title rendered in
pale grey thread on a black woven rayon band. The cufftitle has the light grey
woven border stripes at the top and bottom of the band and the correct densely
woven “salt and pepper” reverse pattern. The cufftitle measures about 19”
long and has each end folded over onto the reverse and sewn down. On the left
end strip (as viewed from the reverse) is the maker name “BeVo Wuppertal”.
The cufftitle is in nearly excellent, un-issued condition, though has one small
nick in the lower border stripe toward the left end (as viewed). Will make a
great addition to your collection!
