Sent through the German National Postal Service (Deutsche Reichspost)
to Hewel – who at the time was apparently in Berchtesgaden at the
Berghof – congratulating him on his birthday and extending “my warmest
personal greetings, all the best for your personal well-being as well as your
work.” The message closes with “Heil Hitler, Your Dr. Goebbels”.
Overall, it measures approximately 5.75” by 8” and is yellowed, with a
two-hole punch along the left side and a small dip out of the paper toward the
right corner, else very sound condition.
