E-102 Three-Quarter Size Miniature Luftwaffe Sword by
Unknown Maker, With Distributor Marking
This is a CHOICE example that I recently purchased as part of a very
large militaria collection. Enjoy! The silver plated fittings
throughout have that untouched look that we collectors go crazy over! In
fact, the plating grades 100%! The pommel edges exhibit a couple of light
marks to the surfaces mostly likely resulting from storage. The grip is
tightly wrapped with beautiful Moroccan leather displaying NO cuts or rips.
It also is tightly wrapped with a single strand of large twisted wire along with
one thinner wire, which has a few areas missing. The downswept crossguard
perfectly matches the look and condition of the pommel. The bright blade
is the nickel plated variety, having the center fuller design retaining crisp
edges and tip. The ricasso areas are void of any maker’s mark; however,
the obverse blade is engraved with the distributor mark “Innenaubua
Schildknecht Stuttgart”. The blade grades mint-! The blade washer
is missing! The scabbard shell is straight throughout. The perfect
conditioned Moroccan leather matches the look of the grip. The scabbard
fittings show NO real wear/age. The upper fitting is constructed like the
original having dual carrying rings. A GREAT looking piece that is a MUST
for the serious Luftwaffe or Miniature collector! Near Mint.
