E-104 RARE Three-Quarter Size
Army Miniature by Alcoso
This example is a high quality piece with that
“million-dollar” patina! The pommel cap is the classic Alcoso with the
flared-out shape (Volume I, page 243, left).
The detail is outstanding, but there is corrosion along the edge and the top.
The grip is a beautiful orange color showing no wear/age. The lower
crossguard is the style having the wider lower wing angle (Volume
I, page 243). The blade is bright and shiny. In addition to
the normal superficial surface scratches, the blade tip is slightly bent, but
can be repaired. The reverse ricasso is etched with the “Alcoso”
scales trademark arching over the “scales” logo. The scales have the
firm’s initials interspersed. The leather washer is present. The
scabbard is straight throughout with a beautiful high quality silver finish.
The scabbard shows minimal wear! RARE miniature! Very good.
