E-274 Police Officer’s Sword by Alcosa
The hilt is the nickel plated variety, having a semi-bright appearance. The
plating is approximately 80% intact. The “D” guard is in very
nice shape. The pommel cap is the stepped-nut Officer’s type with the
serrations. This exhibits no signs of ever being turned. The
condition and appearance matches the rest of the hilt. The black ebony
grip is the fourteen section variety and is in sound shape with no damage
whatsoever and every wire in place. The handsome copper raised
Officer’s Police grip eagle shows great detail and virtually no wear.
The blade is in sound shape, having the semi-bright finish associated
with Police swords. There are a few slight blemishes but overall the blade is
near excellent. The reverse of the ricasso has the scarce Alcosa logo and the
scales. The blade and spine edges remain factory crisp. The original
leather washer is present but worn. The scabbard is straight as an arrow!
The original factory black paint is approximately 95% intact! The
scabbard fittings for this Officer’s example retains about 60% of the
plating, but the details are still visible. Bargain priced at
$1,150.00
