E-276 SS Police Officer’s Sword by WKC
Another find from the recent acquisition from a long time collector.
Scarce example, with the very desirable SS runes in the detailed pommel cap.
Otherwise this has the standard configuration of a Police Officer’s sword. The
nickel hilt is in remarkably great condition, with no observed liabilities. The
detailed two-piece copper Police grip insignia shows fine detailing associated
with this maker. The grip itself along with the wire wrap and back strap are
also in excellent condition. Fittings on the scabbard show light wear but retain
50% of the burnishing to the pebbled background on the upper scabbard fitting.
The scabbard paint is at least 90% intact. The blade, what can I say, is
virtually mint with just a hint of darkening up by the thick brown leather
buffer under the crossguard. This very desirable offering has the WKC Knight’s
head logo on the obverse and the SS runic symbol on the reverse. Rare
opportunity to own this type sword in overall excellent condition!
