Army Deluxe Hanging Straps
This is a RARE set of Army hangers that is a MUST
for the serious Army Dagger collector! It measures 11" in overall
length and can be found illustrated in Wittman’s Volume I, page 214, second
from the left. It is an early set of hangers having a brass base with a
silver finish having a dark patina. The upper box clip is the oak leaf
variety with the top section stamped D.R.G.M.. The brocade straps are
retained by folded-over silvered tabs adorned with hand engraved oak leaves and
an acorn which is D.R.G.M marked. The brocade straps are very fine showing
some folding marks, but NO fraying. The velvet backs show soiling and wear
to the velvet. The oval buckles and slides are the oak leave style. The
lower snaps are the push-up style and are adorned with beautiful oak leaves.
NO collection should be without one Deluxe set! Excellent.
