This scarce Second Model Luftwaffe dagger by Carl Julius Krebs is a MUST
for the serious Second Model Luftwaffe collector! This has the classic
grey metal fittings throughout. The grip is the solid celluloid type, having a
slightly off-white color showing minor highlight wear throughout. It is
tightly wrapped with springy aluminum wire. There is one small chip in the
top groove. The crossguard has outstanding detail to the eagle. The blade
is a full excellent and is the plated style. The reverse ricasso area is etched
with the scarce Krebs trademark. The thin brown leather washer is still intact.
The scabbard is straight throughout and has the grey metal finish, grading at
80% with thinning in some areas. The throat is retained by two flathead
side screws that are intact. This desirable example won’t last long!
