E-561a Scarce WWII German Fighting Knife by PUMA
but Unmarked
The brown bakelite handle is held on by three small rivets and is in
excellent shape. The grip plate has that reddish-brown appearance. The
small oval crossguard is unfinished steel. The blade is the style with a ricasso
and a single-edged design. It is in used condition with some
discolorations and light sharpening. I’ll rate it as ‘good’ only and be
conservative. The blade is unmarked but identical to the type produced by PUMA
during this period. The scabbard is totally straight throughout with anodizing
rating about 20% intact. The reverse side has one spring steel clip for
fastening to a belt, tunic or boot. Used example of a scarce fighting knife.
