E-610 Army Double Engraved Bayonet by Eickhorn
Long Model, rare presentation piece. The plated hilt fittings have
some lifting and are 80% intact. The button on the pommel cap does not function
as there is some corrosion in this area. The black checkered grips are perfect.
The black scabbard paint is only 10% intact and should be repainted, but I do
not do these things. The blade is where the value is. The obverse is deeply
engraved with the “In Memory of My Service Time” motto and this is flanked
by the helmet and crossed rifles on one end and the Army eagle on the other. The
obverse also has the name of the distributor, Peter Kolb in Amberg. The reverse
is also engraved to the exact Unit these were awarded (or purchased) by. It
reads “Infantrie Regiment No 41 Amberg, Bayr, Ostmark”. The 1935 - 1941
Eickhorn logo with the squirrel is present. The condition of the blade and
engraving is outstanding. This is worthy of your consideration.
