E-613 Long Model Fireman’s Bayonet with Unmarked
Blade
This piece is a collectible example! The hilt fittings have
nickel finish that remains 95% intact. The crossguard has the up and down
quillion arms, showing no carrying or storage wear. The grip plates are
the black checkered bakelite type. They are retained with dressed obverse
rivets. There is one crack in the back plate grip extending from the bottom
rivet to the crossguard. The long nickel plated blade is bright and shiny,
having a wide fuller design. The in and out marks are very light, which is
not the norm for Fireman’s bayonets. The blade easily grades excellent.
The long black scabbard is totally straight, with the original factory paint
grading 40%. The scabbard throat is retained by a single domehead screw
mounted in the middle obverse side. The original to the piece black patent
leather frog is attached to the scabbard. It shows a lot of wear and most of the
stitches holding it together are missing. A sound example and priced
accordingly.
