F-206b Mint Brown Brotbeutel (Breadbag)
This breadbag is in perfect, mint un-issued condition and still
has the original sewn in paper tags along one edge of the cover flap. The cut of
the bag is very similar to the standard military bag, though it looks to be
perhaps the slightest bit larger, and the outer edge of the flap is dressed with
a leather edge wrap. The spotless bag material is a medium brown muslin-like
fabric. The outer edge of the front cover flap is rimmed with a narrow strip of
dark brown leather. A small paper tag sewn in here notes: “Not intended for
the NSDAP or any of its organizations”. To the right of this tag is another
with the notes: “Modell.” (“Model”), “Qual.” (“quality”),
“Größe” (“size”), and “Tragw.” (“carrying
method”?), each with a hand-written or stamped note. In appearance, this piece
looks superficially very similar to the standard HJ bag, but was perhaps
intended for civilian use? Super clean!
