F-206c Scarce Model 1944
Army Bread Bag
A nice, representative very late-war period bag in good condition,
with the canvas body made from different cloth sections. The medium olive green
canvas-like material is darker (greener) on the reverse panel than on the front
panel or flap, and the small pouch below the flap is darker material, as well. The
two top corner belt loops are in the same color fabric as the back panel, while
the center belt loop (rather than the earlier clip-on belt hook), is the same
material as the front flap. The front horizontal securing strap loops on the top
of the flap are in black leather. The leather has hardened up. The straps on the
underside are also super stiff. Both have been broken off short. The long center
strap used for securing the mouth of the pouch section is present, but stiffened
into a curl (would need some definite leather softening to become functional
again). All the dished metal buttons are present. Desirable example.
