F-208a WWII German Mess Kit
This consists of a pot and a shallow cover with a handle, which was
used as a frying pan when inverted. It pot, which is marked “MN 41” is made
of aluminum and is finished in a field grey, which remains 75% intact. The
aluminum cover is finished in a slightly different shade of field grey and is
marked “G & C 40”. The initials “AW” are scratched into the cover.
The interior is unfinished aluminum. This includes an excellent brown leather
strap, which is manufacturer marked and dated 1936. A representative example
