24”) Stick Hand Grenade, Model 1924
The wooden “stiel” (“stick”/”shaft”) handle on this
grenade is quite nice and shows normal age to the lightly stained finish. The
screw-on base cap retains a majority of the ordnance green finish. The warhead
itself is painted ordnance green as well, a majority of it is still present with
some minor surface rust on the top. It is a bit wobbly, as the male threaded
section has loosened up on the wooden stick over the years (the wood shrinks
over time). Very solid example!
