F-222a Military M31 Mess Kit
This mess kit canister is a solid example, with a matched top and bottom and a
pretty complete coating of paint – the slightly glossy appearance, however,
indicates it has in fact been repainted (though a near perfect color match to
the original color value). The flatter base portion of the lid latch is marked
and dated “WJ 44”. The kit unfortunately has no wire carrying handle
or leather straps, but is still a nice item for a display. Fairly priced.
