F-237d Gas Cape, “A” Type with Tropical Pouch
This Wehrmacht-issue gas cape is made of a paper like material and is
in excellent condition. Included is the pouch which is produced in a tan cloth
that is in near excellent condition with minor discoloration. There is a flap
with two black finished snaps. The reverse has two webbed cotton loops for
fastening to the shoulder sling of the gas mask. Since they slid around a lot
using this method a different, but repeatedly and strongly prohibited, method
was to attach it to the gas mask by rubber straps or bands. Under the flap
is an ink stamp and the name “I Rate”. An interesting accessory, in near
excellent condition!
