F-293b Large Police Issue Mittens
This neat pair is produced in a Police blue/green cloth (they are
more blue than green) which is very soft. They are large, measuring 16.5” in
length, and were meant to cover up to the wearer’s elbow. The mouth, which is
finished with a green cloth, measures a very large 8” wide! They are lightly
insulated, and the interior is lined in a white cloth. The left hand mittens
interior is stamped in black ink “PO 1942”. They are permanently attached
via a white canvas, 3/8” wide strap which measures approximately 48” long.
