FL-128  Rare DAF Schellenbaum Drape
This historical piece is from my personal collection. It is two-sided and measures approximately 15 1/2" across, including the silver bullion fringe. The fringe which is on both sides is about 1 3/4" wide on each side. It measures approximately 12 3/4" from top to bottom, with the fringe on the bottom measuring 1 3/4". There is a large flat wire swastika surrounded by a DAF cogwheel in the center of the banner on a red silk background. There is a 1/2" silver bullion tape around the edges. The raised silver bullion lettering on the bottom translates to “Music Band of Work Group 12”. The reverse also has silver bullion wording related to this worker's Unit. There are large bullion tassels in each of the four corners. There is nickel/silver dowel with a spear point at each end at the top of the drape. Overall, this piece shows very light wear and only slight discoloration. I have never seen another one of these for sale or in a collection!
