Women’s League) Banner
Lightweight red cloth banner that is one sided, and made of two
separate pieces sewn together down the middle. It measures 81” tall and
59” wide. The red field has minor discoloration and a few minor tears,
the worst being in the shape of a backwards “L” measuring approximately one
inch by one inch long, there is no material missing though. The multi-piece
machine sewn insignia consists of an upside down triangle of black and white
cloth (which is moderately discolored and stained), onto which the outline of a
swastika in red thread and the words “Nat.Soz. Frauenschaft” have been
added, the latter hand applied in a gold paint. Around the edge of the insignia
is a gold cloth rope border. Each top corner has a gold metal grommet for
mounting the banner. Interesting banner in representative condition!
