Two-Sided NSKK Pennant
Small, but very sharp-looking two-sided pennant measuring about
12.5” long to the point, by 6.75” high at the hoist end, bordered along the
entire edge (including the hoist) in black textured leatherette. The tightly
woven red cotton pennant body is lightly soiled at the tip of the front side
(hoist to the left), and moderately soiled – including some oxidation spots
– on the reverse side. The separately applied, machine woven (BEVo) disks with
the striking NSKK Adler (eagle) are very nice, though again, with some soiling
on the rear patch. The eagle’s head on each side faces the viewer’s right,
regardless of which side. At the top of the hoist end there is white string –
once a loop, but cut; the bottom of the hoist end has the long white cord
continuing as a lanyard that dangles (about 14” long). Always a winner.
