FL-90a Kriegsmarine Flag
This flag is produced in a yellow bunting material, which has a few
very minor stains and moth bites. Printed onto the middle of each side of the
yellow field is a large red stripe. It measures 86” long by 25” wide at the
top (218cm x 63.5cm) and is triangular (when flow it would be upside down). The
top (hoist) has a canvas reinforcement under which a thick rope lanyard is sewn.
The lanyard has a metal swivel ring on one end and an extension of rope with a
metal hook at the other. The reinforcement has a crisp Navy proof stamped in
black ink and the remnants of three cloth loops, presumably for rings used to
display the flag. Not sure what it was used for?? Interesting and in above
average condition!
