M-006 Rare BDM Proficiency Award in Bronze
This is seldom-encountered piece. This was awarded to girls between
the ages of 14 and 21 who were members of the Bund Deutscher Mädel. They needed
to pass a series of tests in various areas such as nursing, athletics and
political ideology during a span of 12 months. This example is in fine shape
being made of brass and shows the letters backed by and red and white ribbon.
The reverse has the serial number of the award (134851) and you can see the RZM
markings just above and under the pin back. These rarely appear on the
market place.
