M-022 German Eagle Order First Class
Without Swords, Throat Award
One of the more impressive of the Third Reich’s awards, this First Class Eagle Order is in outstanding condition from a naked eye standpoint - the
white enamel is nicely poured, with no chipping at all and only some very minor
scratches. The gilt finish along the cross edges, eagles and the scallop at the
top of the cross is very nice, with only some darkening on one of the small
eagles. Attached to the top ring is a long, fluted suspension ring for a ribbon
(the First Class Level of the German Eagle Order was worn at the throat,
suspended from a ribbon that passed through this ring). A very handsome
piece!
