M-035 Very Rare Carpathian Award
A large award at about 1.75” by 1.75”
in width, this unique badge is an impressive swastika motif with a handsome
nickel/silver finish, with a half oak leaf wreath mounted to the lower portion
(the award is aligned in “mobile” orientation – i.e. the swastika standing
on one tip). The nickel has taken on a real handsome patina, with nice
burnishing to the oak leaves adding to the effect. Within the open arms of the
oak leaves there is a small shield in red enamel with an emblem in nickel on
its surface. The enamel is in great condition and the nickel design still
bright. The overall condition of this rare badge is outstanding! The pin on the
reverse is perfectly functional and in fine condition – an extremely rare
piece!
