M-249 SA Sports Badge in Bronze
[S.A. Sportabzeichen], 1939 - 1944 Pattern
This example of the SA Sports Badge has minimal wear to the bronze
finish, which is handsomely burnished. The reverse of the badge is marked
“Eigentum der Obersten S.A.-Fuhrung” or “Property of the SA Supreme
Command”. There is some moderate surface rust seen in a few spots on the
reverse. The maker is Berg & Nolte A.G. of Lüdenscheid. The pin is flat on
the bottom with a rounded obverse and a pointed end that is secured by a
flatwire catch. A great example overall!
