M-306c Army 12-Year Long Service Medal
Nice example of the Army’s Long Service Medal for four years,
nicely mounted on a cornflower blue ribbon. The medal’s front circumference
inscription reads the same as the Four-Year version, with: “Treue Dienste in
der Wehrmacht” (“Loyal Service in the Armed Forces”). The reverse has an
oak leaf wreath surrounding the number “12”. The gold finish is in pretty
good condition, with some minor fading on the reverse (zinc base metal). The
dark blue ribbon is in good condition, but likely a post-war replacement. Pretty
solid example.
