M-332d Choice, Cased Faithful Service Decoration (Treudienst
Ehrenzeichen), First Class (40 Years)
These were awarded in three classes in recognition of loyal service. This is the
First Class version, for 40 years. It is in the design of a cross with an oakleaf
wreath and a central swastika. The reverse has the inscription “Für Treue
Dienst”. The gilt finish is mint, showing no wear! There is a cornflower blue
ribbon with a horizontally mounted needle pin. The red leatherette case shows a
little wear. The top lid has the number “40” in gilt and the interior is
compartmented. There is a red velvet flocking lining the interior, with white
silk on the top lid. This one would be hard to upgrade!
