M-986 1.Mai 1936 May Day Tinnie;
Solid Backed, Metal
All of the May Day tinnies are in the form of a disk and have
a diameter of nearly 1.5”. The variations them lie in the finish color, in
whether the piece is solid backed or stamped and in what material it is made
from. This 1936 tinnie is an aluminum alloy (I believe) with a fairly matte
appearance. It bears the May Day imagery of a plow, sword, hammer, etc.
The solid back is maker marked and the pin is in fine condition. I have a few,
all in about the same condition, with different makers.
