S-002 Adolf Hitler Formal Style Aspic Server
This is a serving utensil in the formal pattern. The right edge (as held)
has a slight ridge (to stop an item?), while the left side edge is flat. The piece is about 9.25” long, with the handle neck narrow at the top
tapering outward for a lightly flared final third before the taper turns inward
again to a narrow, squared off end. The handle is bordered around the edge in
the Greek geometric key motif that the Führer favored. The flared portion of
the handle bears the vertical winged eagle in nice relief, with the wreathed
swastika flanked by the letters “A” and “H”. The underside of the handle
is marked “800”, with the quarter moon, small crown and imperial-style eagle
silver marks. The silver has a moderate patina, though the underside of the
handle is a bit darker. Neat piece! Thank you to David K. for the
