S-011 Silver Service Piece for Dessert
This was used as a dessert plate or some type of saucer for service
pieces, such as sugar bowls, etc. It is round and measures 5.5” in diameter
(14cm). It has a raised edge. The center section has a deeply incised Political
eagle. The silver finish has toned to a rich, golden hue with just a few faint
scratches visible from use. The underside of the item is stamped with the
maker’s information, indicating the maker of this piece was the firm of
Art.Krupp, Berndorf. Also seen is their motto, which is circular and features a
bear in the center, with the name and location written around the circumference.
