S-052 Allach Porcelain
Blumenschmuck Wettbewerb München 1940 (Floral Decoration Competition,
Munich 1940)
Very fine statuette, though this product post-dates the
reprinted Allach (our item number BK-107) catalog and thus is not listed. The
piece is in super condition, with the porcelain in the condition in which it
came out of production in 1940 (or 1939), and the figure showing a handsome
arrested motion. It appears to be a somewhat cherubic young female child, arms
held aloft - sleeve openings hanging down in a nicely opposing direction - and
in one hand she clutches a small bouquet. The figure stands on a nicely
contoured pedestal with the city coat of arms shield for Munich molded into the
front. The event inscription appears around the pedestal sides. The figure and
pedestal stand in total about 8.25” tall. The bottom is marked SS Allach
(interlocked runes logo), which is tooled directly into the porcelain itself
along with the artist’s name (K. Himmelstoss). Incredible piece.
