S-068 Incredible Luftwaffe 4” by 5”
Linhof Camera, Marked “Luftwaffen Eigentum” (“Luftwaffe Property”), with
Tripod Stand
This is an amazing set, with everything except the tripod packed in
the original stiff, canvas-lined carrying case. The case has brick red,
leather-reinforced corner side seam dressing. The case itself is in pretty good
condition, though it has scuffs and marks to the fabric surface and some damage
to the brick red leather edge dressing. The red leather carrying strap that was
once attached to each end of the case is long gone. The case stands 7.75” high
(deep), 10.75”wide (end to end) and about 6.5” wide from front to back. The
cover flap still latches into the catch lock plate. Inside the case there is a
black Linhof 4” by 5” camera, which is in excellent condition and
includes the black drape cloth. There are two Ortho color filters in leatherette
packs and several lenses (magnifying) made by the famous Joseph Schneider
company. There are several 4” by 5” film plates (one with the original paper
wrapping) and a back plate. The camera has an F-stop range of from F.4 to F.32,
and a shutter speed range from “1:200” of a second to 5 minutes. The camera
is DRGM and DRP marked. The camera comes with the majority of its original,
paper instruction booklet (half of two pages are lost) - though it is definitely
a bit fragile. Included separately with this amazing set is a long canvas
bag / case (same material as the camera case), which holds the camera’s tripod
stand. The stand is in good condition; the case is also good, though the
reddish-tan leather sling strap has broken in two; the leather carry handle is
fairly dry and shows some cracking, but is in one piece. The top end of the bag
is secured by a zipper. The camera comes with an inventory list of the case
contents in English. Take a look at the pictures for the full scope of this
